Even in our mountainous area, we get excellent reception.

and you'll get tons better reception than you will with the stock antenna.

I seem to get good reception, can understand what others are saying, and am told others can understand me clearly.....when it works!

I have the UV-5R and this new UV-5R5 has notable better reception and less unwanted distortion and noise than 5R.

Just don't have great reception at our home...but neither does cell phones.

It states up to three 3 miles, however we tested up to approximately 2 miles and we had clear reception and our voices were heard without any interference
