If your phone is smaller and you have a light case, this would be an excellent tripod

The ring light can be secured at about a 90 degree angle forward or backward, although the tripod becomes less stable the more extreme you make the light's angle

Speaking of Impressive, the included tripod is light and easy to break down, but sturdy and reaches an impressive height

The light ring works well and having the various settings is nice, the tripod is flimsy if you want to mount t your phone and get a steady shot

I don't see this as a negative at all, if you look at professional camera setups, the stands are typically weighted so they stay in place.--As for overall usage, I found that the tripod and light work well with cell-phones and webcams
