Another cool thing this device performs hardware based Packet Captures (Those of you who use Wireshark know how it can be really slow when your performing a capture on a computer that's really busy on the network, thats because it is software based!) and it leverages the CPU/RAM of the router to do it

This thing screams and give you realtime statistics

In an apartment i can get by with 3 and use wifi for all of my smart devices and consoles).The really neat thing about this router is the customization

One slightly annoying thing is the poe ports seem to be limited to 100 mbps

Setup was easy if you know even the most basic things about routers and networking.24v POE is really only useful for other Ubiquiti products.

ISP advertised speeds on all my devices (wired/wireless), so that's a good thing.

This thing is great, I have it upgrade to the newest firmware.

Not the easiest thing to setup if you are not familiar with corporate level equipment however since I have set it up it hasn't even flinched.

I can't say enough good things about this router.

Very active community and easy to find answers to setup more difficult things.

Note: the hardest thing was finding where to put the DNS server for the gateway

This is very frusterating when trying to do things like activate DHCP so you can get machines on the network to take IP'sYou're pretty much going to be 100% on your own with this, trying to find any information on the MANY setup issues you WILL have with this router by browsing forums and trying random solutions until something decides to work for no reason

I received wouldn't update via the gui and instead required cml methods, yet another thing most endusers would have serious issue with.

Bought just to check out their routers and these things are fantastic

This router was also not the easiest thing to get set up as the initial set up is not just plug and play

Yes, yes, I am a network engineer / geek and I must say, having heard great thing about Ubiquiti products through the geek vine, I actually didn't read the reviews until today.

Now if you are OK with linux, doing things like finding help for various bash commands online, applying ip table ruless or modifying networkd and building a server, this is the router for you.

This thing is a steal for under $60.
