I own a consumer electronics company and have seen 1001 bluetooth speakers but this is by far the best portable bluetooth speaker I have ever used.

The UE MEGABOOM is an excellent bluetooth speaker that can be incredibly frustrating to 'DoubleUp' with another MEGABOOM in stereo

I bought this because it was advertised to be the best choice for a solid bluetooth speaker.

Sound is great....bluetooth works from a long distance.

All these portable bluetooth speakers coming out are trying to pack a ton of sound in a small package, and there's only so much you can squeeze in without making sacrifices to audio quality and battery life

ProsThe Megaboom does not have "mega" sound or size, but for it's size the sound is better than other comparatively sized bluetooth speakers

I have purchased I have needed to return 4 immediatly or shortly thereafter -- once you finally gets a couple of them that seems to work straight out of the package -- then there is a second phase within the first 1-2 months where half of the ones that function on Day 1 are lemons -- if mounted to a bicycle you'll tear the speaker and get the sound effect of a blown out speaker -- or the bluetooth will stop working -- or it will fail to hold a charge -- this red one I received this malfunctioned immediatly -- i tossed in the trash it as I am sick of returning this product -- I have a junk pile of more than a few -- from 7 (of which 3 were returned immediately) about 2 of them work properly now -- 2 of them sounds terrible -- and 3 don't work at all -- they're cute and loud but only if / when they work -- because they're often fault and always fragile

By the 7th month the bluetooth stopped working, it just stopped pairing with connected devices and just shut off

If you're looking for a really good Bluetooth speaker and still on the fence about which one to buy don't be

They make Bluetooth speakers that will shake the walls but you're moving up to a much bigger speaker set and about $500 just to join the club

This is by far the best Bluetooth speaker I have ever heard for its size.

I don't use the bluetooth feature which would probably drain the battery faster on the speaker as well as my phone, so I just use a cord.

The Bluetooth on them can't handle any interference in the 2.4GHz band.

I use a portable bluetooth speakers everyday for 5-8 hours to run a dance studio

however the tap functionality to pause is frankly bad and is the only thing that stops it being 5 stars, I turn the music down to pause now or use my phone, and with the use case of the mega boom including outside and near water, I believe a few dedicated buttons or even just one multi-function button for play/pause, track skip, and trackback would have made this the best Bluetooth speaker even, however, if your phone is waterproof then its a non issue
