The speaker seems to be the best thing in the world at first but on a spring day sitting in the sun, after about 20 minutes or so, the bass and even mild lower tones cause massive distortion

The only thing to consider if considering the smaller Boom is the volume may not be as loud, the battery life is shorter, it is not waterproof, and the Bluetooth connection range is rated as half as far as the Megaboom

I know this is kinda "pricey" but this is the best thing I have ever bought, the bass is deep and perfect for its size, it produces very loud and great quality sound, and the battery on it is fantastic!!

so I can pair both at the same, which was another amazing thing about the UE speakers.

I can honestly say though that this thing is amazing!!

I now use this thing as my morning alarm, and with the app you can set it to play music from any source on your phone (iTunes radio, spotify, stored music, and even music stream you can find a url for)

This is a very sturdy speaker and can easily stand up on it's own, however things can get a little crazy around out pool parties.

Love this thing and can't wait to for the weather to warm up so we can take it with us in the river!
