While the Pro 750 don't require a headphone amp to run, I would recommend a good quality amp like the Fiio E11 if you are going mobile with an iPod or smartphone being your music player

I am a bit of a collector of headphones looking for just the right sound (listen to mainly blues rock) with headphones from Sennheiser, Grado, Beyerdynamic , AKG etcI am also a bit of a fan of the ultrasone line ups in the more affordable end of the rangesI currently have the HFI 2400, 780 DJ1 HFI 15, Pro 2500 DJ1 Pro and now the Pro 750 after selling my pro 900.After reading all reviews and my own experience I often wonder if people reviewing the Pro 900 are describing the Pro 750 as in my view the Pro 750 is a better sounding headphone than the 900.If anyone is considering a closed back headphone of good quality with great controlled bass the 750 is for you - the 2500 or 2900 is a great alternative if you prefer the open back sound

On small volume there is no bass at all, sound quality is good

These (Ultrasones) to me sounded like a combination of the Denons and the Beyers, but with that combination comes one big bad quality, lots of sibilance... to the point where your ears are stinging after about 30 minutes of listening and continue to be sensitive days after

Between the sound and the comfort, using the Pro 750 is never fatiguing like other headphones - and we all have them: the cans that sound great, but you can't wear for more than 15 minutes, or the others that are just so comfy but the sound quality is lacking
