What prompted me to actually order this is the smart charging

If your really looking to fast charge this is not for you

Great little charging unit.

Fast charging, small footprint.

Wish it would stand up right better when using all the USB ports also sometimes my phone will either drain instead of charging or it will state that it is charging slowly

Still get rapid charges from every port

This is a very nice, compact charging station.

I bought this as a gift for a friend to simplify her charging a number of usb devices

I hesitate to confirm that it is "rapid-charging" device, though

My computer doesn't charge quick enough and I rather not buy excessive charge heads.

Doing a good job so far, everything charges fast, I really can't find a single complaint with so many ports

The light isn't disruptive at all and so far it has charged everything with no problem

Unit got real hot and burned a apple wire right in half at the USB port on the charger the buttom charge port

It also has overcharge protection (shuts off when device is fully charged), overheating (shuts down), and short circuit protection (shuts off)

Rapid charge is for real

I contend these charge no faster then the regular non-oem equipment

The USB insertions are very sensitive and are testy when charging electronics

The company claims it will alter power output to give the best charge time

Constantly get messages from my devices that it's "slow charging".

Tends to get very hot when charging.

When I plug in my phone, it says "weak charging detected

Doesn't do fast charging for devices that allow that.

The device will not rapid charge the galaxy s7

but I suspect the "smart charging" works as advertised).

I bought this particular one because I assumed, with the smart charging feature, that it would charge the IPOD's but it doesn't

I found if you put any cords in the top two charging plugs the tower will fall over.

I needed something that would work at a out-the-door charging station that wouldn't constantly fall over or become unplugged (nothing like grabbing your phone or tablet and realizing that it hasn't been charging!).

While this USB hub does charge faster than the other ones I have and it does charge 6 instead of 5 it does not activate the fast charging on my galaxy s 7 or my husbands galaxy note 5 so with those we have found that it is better to just use regular chargers on those
