    • I used it with Garageband, and this mic always had a hiss, fuzz, or some type of background noise
    • There is a volume button on the microphone that changes the sensitivity of the input, which was a godsend for using this microphone is a loud environment, as I just had to turn the sensitivity down and speak loudly directly into the microphone to drown out all background noise.
    • I also use Audio Hijack on the Mac to do some extra sound manipulation to reduce background noise, kids etc even more, but whether I turn that on or use the mic directly, it is great.
    • But then I started getting a lot of complaints about all the background noise being picked up
    • The volumme knob in the front is a plus for blocking out background noise

    • It also cuts out any background noise
    • so be aware that it can pick up background noise unless you're using a headset and have it tuned right, but I often use this with speakers out of laziness on zoom calls and when its turned down real low and you talk close it works fine.
    • so I recommend buying a foam thing for it so that the background noise can be lowered
    • Picks up way to much background noise no matter what you try
    • It records my voice accurately and without background noise
    • My only disappointment is that it picks up background noise very easily

    • but that didn't do anything for blocking out background noise coming from EVERY direction
    • Also, the sound of my keyboard while typing was heavily picked up so it did not have great background noise suppression
    • but the background noise is just horrible, from static to keyboard sounds.
    • I cannot complain much for the price, and it seems to be made from quality materials but I am having serious issues of background noise when there is nothing in the background

    • I guess it'd probably be fine for gaming or classes where "background" noise isn't as much of an issue, but it's unusable for recording videos or music meant for putting out publicly.
    • I was so taken aback after hearing such good things about the yeti, but they both pickup the same background noises, and feel very similar.
    • Noise quality was good, although on higher volume settings on the mic, a lot of background noise got picked up, so noise cancellation is pretty poor

    • But this is easily solved especially if you don't have any background noise problems!

    • I would say my only gripe with it is how relatively easy it is to pick up background noises compared to other mics I have tried in the past, but overall I think this was a solid purchase and certainly better in longevity than even some of the professional mics out there.
    • The uni-directional properties of this mic also really helps avoid unwanted background noise.

    • Placing it behind the keyboard requires higher gain which picks up more background noise
    • Great mic!ONLY complaint: it picks up a lot of background noise so your gonna have to buy a sound filter or something to muffle our the background noise to accommodate for that.
    • I would just recommend that you don't go above 75% volume because then it clips a lot and has more background noise
