UtechSmart Venus 16400 DPI High Precision Laser MMO Gaming Mouse

    • $40 for two years is not bad for such a great mouse imo but wish the button hadn't stopped working correctly.
    • The buttons are extremely helpful and the ring finger rest is awesome (you'd never think of it, but other mice don't feel right!
    • Only one thing is the buttons are a little hard to press on the side
    • Also, the extra buttons are crazy useful
    • I found the extra top button to be an interesting addition and the high sitting DPI buttons easy to get used to not accidently hitting
    • This mouse has buttons that dip down to an inward angles on both rows that create a virtual "valley" for your thumb to search for the correct button
    • The buttons are completely perfect for my taste, and register well.
    • So finally, frustrated after years of buying from a well known gaming company, decided to go on the hunt for a cheaper 12 buttoned mouse
    • if you like the design and the tight number buttons, but not for me.
    • The curvature of the thumb buttons is more pronounced which makes it easier to find the right button by feel alone- Thumb buttons also have small bumps on the 5 and 8
    • Great feel, and the way the buttons for your thumb are angled makes finding the button you want way easier than other devices I have tried.
    • The DPI buttons are very accessible to the point where you can switch mid-game
    • i have used this mouse now for over a month and the only complaint i could possibly have is that the last 3 buttons on the side 10 11 and 12 are a little difficult to press comfortably but other than that it is exactly what i ordered
    • Really like the dpi buttons and thumb rest as well
    • The 12 bindable buttons on the side are easy to reach, and big enough that you won't miss click
    • The buttons are solid and responsive, the weights are a fantastic touch, the lights are vibrant and the colors adjustable.
    • IMHO, if you are looking for an MMO mouse, just find a good 5-6 button mouse with large easily targetable buttons, and use them in combo with shift, ctrl, alt modifiers to get all the bindings you need
    • Great mouse, the left and right clicks are extremely sensitive and the buttons on the side can be difficult to get to in a
    • (i prefer as many buttons as possble, so keys it is) where the ring finger rests
    • I like the lip under the thumb and the curved 1,2,3 buttons to hold you in place without looking
    • It had a convex curvature that really made accessing all the buttons easy
    • The buttons themselves are a little too stiff to press and they too are made of a hard plastic, which gets slippery
    • It also lacks a forward and back button often seen on other mice
    • I was worried that it might be difficult to hit the correct button on the side at times, but they are shaped so you can easily feel which row you are
    • Another issue the 8 button gives me the same output as if I'm pressing the 9 button even though they're programmed to different keys
    • it hardly feels like i'm clicking the mouse when I press the left and right mouse buttons and it was extremely difficult to try and consistently rapid click the left click button, not ideal for most gaming experiences
    • The buttons work well for gaming, the cord is long and will reach very far
    • (Great for snipers)For the price it is a must the button are really easy for me to get to and 12 is more than enough.
    • I also enjoy having all the buttons adjacent to one another
    • But he loves the side buttons
    • 0 problems feels great very nice buttons
    • Has convenient sensitivity buttons on the mouse
    • Although the buttons, comfort, and style of this mouse are terrific, it has one significant flaw that ruins it as a whole
    • I really miss a "forward" and "back" button on the side, I understand there simply isn't room for it to fit, would be nice if the 3 & 6 buttons had this feature
    • Very comfortable mouse, buttons are easy to access and chord is stiff for easy cable management
    • The 12 buttons on the side make it way easier for me to use the ability I wanna use in a timely fashion without having to struggle to find the right key
    • Bought this model because it had the most buttons (and i do a lot of customization.)PROs:- More customizable buttons than any other
    • Its a big solid mouse with tons of well place buttons that's half the price of its forefather, but that's exactly what I was looking for!
    • It isn't too big for my small hands and the buttons are easy to program.
    • One button lost sensitivity
    • Boom..lost 1 button
    • I set the "rapid fire" button next to Mouse 1 to Ctrl instead, which at least makes some hotkeys a bit easier and efficient
    • The buttons are great, the top of the mouse has a texture to it to keep your hand from slipping, it moves effortlessly over the SubZERO mouse pad I just bought
    • Overall the mouse feels great and the customizable 18 buttons are perfect for gaming
    • Ever since WoW made it so gnomes could be hunters my gnome is pretty intimidating using those buttons for more skills than my left hand can with keys 1-5
    • The 12 buttons feel great, and are easy to command
    • The buttons were easy to program and it is very easy to switch profiles with the desk top icon.
    • They feel far too close together and pressing one gives the tactile sensation of pressing the buttons next to it
    • The buttons on the side work exactly like the number keys, so they work great for fps games
    • and I have no problems at all selecting the button I want on the first minutes of use
    • You can create multiple profiles with an easy quick change button for each
    • The buttons on the left side are really nice and firm
    • : I understand this is advertised as mmo gaming mouse but all the buttons are mighty useful as my daily driver and productivity was my main reason, gaming second
    • Although, the one I received had a faulty button 4 (which only takes backspace command properly
    • You can change it to any color and the buttons are easy to feel and find with your thumb
    • Also, smooth buttons in the top and side, which is easy to program, make playing games enjoyable
    • Adjustable weights, and several programmable buttons.
    • The way you can change the lighting and the buttons are pretty easy to use.
    • The buttons on the side make it easy to play Diablo.
    • The left and right mouse buttons are sensitive, very sensitive
    • Functionality: I love the trigger button and the 12 keys on the side of the mouse - they allow me a great deal of customization when it comes to setting up keybinds in games
    • Unfortunately the DPI buttons aren't great buttons
    • It also has a macro function on that lonesome top button by the left click
    • The buttons on the side are very hard to push and sometimes wouldn't register
    • Also, these buttons have the perfect press down threshold which helps me to not press down the wrong button at the wrong time by accident--which is super important when playing a video game
    • I only pity those with large hands, as the buttons are just right for my tiny hands but not so much if your hands are bigger.
    • The hardest part is knowing which tiny little number button you're pressing when you're using it.
    • Would recommend to anyone that doesn't have enough buttons!
    • The programmable buttons on the side are easy to use, and convenient.
    • I have been using this gaming mouse for about two weeks now, everything work perfectly, you can program all buttons , light, DPI, it worth the money paid.pros:
    • And I love how the 12 buttons don't protrude out super far like the new Razer Naga editions
    • Might just be me, but the buttons on the side were very hard to single out and depress without disrupting my accuracy.
    • My only complaint is one button alone next the left index finger is absolutely pointless
    • It has enough programable buttons that you would never need another
    • The 9 button also registered as an 8 as well.
    • It has a rapid fire button which it clicked, burst fires three times
    • The buttons are not easy to push, so that is a good thing, but they are also not textured which makes my thumb slip off them when picking up the mouse to move it.
    • After a little use, the first button became a little unreliable
    • I like it the buttons are good everything is pretty good about it
    • The 10, 11, and 12 buttons on the side are not easy for me, but I don't think I'll plan on using them anyway
    • I particularly like the button described as the "rapid fire" right next to the left click
    • I count 29 different key combinations including the right, left, center, aux, and two other top buttons.
    • The buttons are easy to navigate, and it is easy to get used to, though a little awkward at first if you are not used to reaching the 10, 11, 12 keys near the heel of your hand
    • My biggest problem with the mouse, however, are the buttons on the side
    • Since the buttons were meant to be clicked in rapid succession and were made sensitive to do so, I ended up accidentally clicking the buttons a lot, mostly the right button
    • , this is my case idk about other people but my product button number six feels funny and its hard to clic all the other buttons work "fine" , all buttons in the side are too big , u can not tell the difference when u pass your finger to clic on them you don't really know wich one you are clickin on... mostly if you trying the button from the middle (2,5,8,11), so im not lov
    • What I like most about this that my old razer naga didn't have, the 12 buttons on the side sit at different angles so you can tell by feel which button you are on, there were smooth on my old
    • keys to Forward/Backward, and the top-left button into my PTT key.
    • The buttons are also a little mushy, but all are functional
    • works great so far.....was a heavy mouse with all the weight.....removed all of it.....buttons on the side are nice and dont just push randomly
    • Found the side buttons to be much too small and too tightly spaced to be able to quickly find and hit the right button, kinda' key when you need to get that heal off to save your tank!
    • The buttons on the side are very useful and I fully recommend this product for gamers.
    • Unfortunately, buttons feel sluggish and clicks do no always seem to register
    • Great mouse, I love the programmable buttons and weights
    • I love the extra button near the left click, I set it up for
    • The buttons are perfect for FPS games.
    • I like the number of extra buttons on the mouse, but finding the correct button out of twelve is tricky, and the tactile feedback from the buttons is dulled by the flexible buttons
    • Speaking of which, this button is more useful than I first thought it would be
    • The fourth top mouse button is really nice
    • The buttons have a nice click to them and accidental button pushes where not an issue
    • The #4 (TOP / "fire") button was defective and only registered as a click about 25% of the time
    • middle button doesnt work, very disappointed--Update
    • It works and feels like a 100 dollar mouse!Build: very ergnomic, feels premium, and buttons are not very difficult to press
    • The buttons on the side are a tiny bit bigger than I expected which is amazing because tiny buttons on the side would have been weird
    • Highly adjustable as far as the multicolor lighting and programmable buttons go
    • , buttons felt nice, weight was good
    • The number pad buttons are smooth and prone to slippage during gameplay and because of their placement this mouse offers no place to grip the mouse with the thumb
    • It's working out better for me to have 8 usable buttons as opposed to 12 clunky ones
    • playin world of warcraft you need quick access to many abilities and having some 12 extra buttons is just great
    • I like the number of extra buttons on the mouse, but finding the correct button out of twelve is tricky, and the tactile feedback from the buttons is dulled by the flexible buttons
    • Love the product, I love the texture of the mouse itself, feels easy to grip, the color options are great and the buttons on the side are easy to use
    • The main left and right click buttons have texture to them, almost like sandpaper
    • The "1" button on the side has stopped working when I want it to
    • The buttons have a nice click to them and accidental button pushes where not an issue
    • Mouse is exactly as described; however I find I am clicking the right click every time I try to press a side button due to how extremely easy it is to click the top buttons
    • Better grip than Razor Naga, buttons are just as easy to use as Naga, about the same size as the brand name competitor
    • The side buttons are and must be set to a standard keyboard input, which personally is the worst part about this mouse, as opposed to the cheaper and blander 6 or 7 button mouse which will count the "forward" and "back" buttons as "mouse 4" or "mouse 5" which effectively gives you an extra key
    • Cheaper than the overpriced Razers and includes a useful trigger button on the top left.
    • The numbered buttons are pretty small, but I would say I have average hands and the buttons are easy to feel for which one you're pressing
    • It software is intuitive and easy to use, the mouse is comfortable, and the buttons are easily accessible
    • I have programmed one of the top buttons as "ctrl" and the F1-F12 keys as Ctrl-1 through Ctrl-12, allowing the entire range of the top two rows on the keyboard.
    • The buttons on the side are easily usable and lit up well
    • Multifunctional buttons work very well
    • I play an MMO game where I have to quickly find and press the side buttons and I am finding that I press the wrong button with the UtechSmart Venus
    • You will also have to disable mouse button 4 because it does nothing - you cant even bind it to anything in the
    • Feels good in the hand, buttons on side a handy and easy to config, moves well and tons of setting to fiddle with.
    • Provides easy button finding during gaming
    • I truly don't know how even non-gamers don't realize the value of mullti-button mice like this.
    • Good buttons, perfect for Elite
    • Love the programmable buttons, even for mundane things like copy/paste and forward/backward
    • It works great, easy to use gui on the software, the buttons work great
    • Mouse fits perfect in my hand with a middle finger rest, all buttons are easily accessible without thumb cramping, and it comes with removable weights if you want to make it heavier or lighter
    • Maybe it's the size of my hands or that I also have a Razer Naga, but the number buttons feel awkward to me
    • Oh well, all around still a great mouse for a great price I love buttons
    • It also has a macro function on that lonesome top button by the left click
    • Love the extra button near the left click
    • I think the buttons could have been done a little better because distinguishing one button from another is somewhat difficult because the gaps between the buttons is so small, you kind of really have to feel them closely(for me anyways, other people may not have this problem). The DPI settings are good, although I would never have a use for a really high DPI amount
    • Making allot of them not as accessible as the other buttons
    • love having lots o buttons to do things on the fly
    • The buttons still feel a bit too stiff.
    • The number buttons emulate a numeric pad, so mapping them can affect your keymap in gameThe mouse is also extremely sensitive.
    • the mouse itself feels really well built and the buttons are nice.
    • If you have smaller hands, the buttons on the side are a little difficult to press, it will take some time for the muscle memory to work itself out if you are used to a mouse like the Naga
    • Very convenient thumb buttons to switch power-ups in games such as Star Wars Battlefront
    • -the scroll wheel has great grip and sanctifying movement -the ring finger and thumb rest are very comfortable - best performance for lowest priceCons -wish the thumb rest was a little biggerNeutral-Loud mouse click-side button click hard (great to make sure you don't accidentally hit them, but can mess with your aim in shooters)
    • The buttons feel nice and I don't mind the slightly rough texture
    • Boom..lost 1 button
    • Its double click button is great for controling that burst fire on a garbadage recoil weapon
    • Also, the G600's buttons are a little easier to distinguish between each other by touch than the UtechSmart's
    • This s a great multi buttons gaming mouse.
    • the slim button to the left of the mouse is great as a "show desktop" button
    • I would trade most of the side buttons and the dumb double click button for it in a
    • The main buttons are obviously mechanical and have satisfying clicks and feedback when used
    • Lots of colors, removable weights with holding case for them, dpi up and down top buttons with configurable software
    • (I had to let go of the mouse with all my fingers but ring and pinky so that I could twist my hand up to punch the thumb buttons
    • Those with average sized hands should have no trouble accessing those buttons
    • The programmable buttons are helpful for many scenarios, such as gaming, navigating web pages, and using CAD software
    • If it have a better middle wheel button then I will give 5 stars
    • It has a great weight (adjustable) and the buttons feel great
    • The programmable buttons on the side are the main reason I purchased this and they work like a champ.
    • 0 problems feels great very nice buttons
    • The number buttons are
    • The feeling was great in your hands, the buttons on the side feel very solid
    • I really love this mousePros:Adjustable DPI via top button DPI profile or by using included softwareIs beautiful, the pictures do not make justiceAdjustable weight
    • A perfect grip in my opinion and the buttons are so easy to press and remember
    • and I love the extra buttons
    • The button are very responsive
    • My experience with the other games was great too, with Battlefield, CS:GO, and Gary's Mod, you find yourself switching weapons/tools a lot which is typically solved in all three with the scroll wheel, but, can be an inaccurate and slower way, when compared to pressing the number buttons on your keyboard
    • He says the buttons are easier to access compared to the Naga
    • Yeah, with this mouse you never get that feeling, the buttons are made very well
    • The buttons are stiff enough that I can use them to lift the mouse without hitting them, but tactile enough to press them when I intend to
    • Best feature is the adjustable DPI button
    • I really enjoy the buttons on the top to change to DPI at will.
    • This fits my hand perfectly and all the buttons on the side are comfortable to press with my thumb
    • I do like the dpi buttons on top
    • Love the buttons
    • It is easy to "feel" where you are, and the individual buttons along the valley, making them extremely easy to activate the correct button without ever looking away from your screen or having to shift your grip on the mouse
    • Great mouse but wish it had a better thimb rest and after like 3 months of gaming with it on bf1 the right click button became unresponsive
    • Not to mention the buttons themselves are crammed together so that sometimes you push the wrong button due to their lack of individual feel in a row
    • The buttons on the side are easy to use and the entire feel of the mouse is very good in the hand
    • The design of the mouse is very appealing and the 12 buttons on the sides are stragetically place so you won't have to worry about pressing two buttons at the same time, which was my worry
    • all the buttons work fine and they make no nose
    • if you like the design and the tight number buttons, but not for me.
    • Others have had issues with either awkward designs (overly bloated right sides of the mouse making fingertip grip impossible), poor button layout or design, clunky or intrusive software, etc
    • mushy, unresponsive side buttons and it wasn't comfortable to use in claw or palm grip
    • This mouse offers enough buttons to give very good access to controls that would normally require a keyboard.
    • The macro buttons on the side makes things super convenient and a breeze to access your hot bar in a pinch
    • I love the programmable size buttons and the mouse has a surprising ergonomic design even though there's the side buttons
    • I'm a moba player, the first 6 buttons on the side are easy to reach with my thumb
    • Cons:- the 10 - 12 buttons are a bit of a stretch for me and my small
    • This particular mouse has many strategically placed buttons to utilize while gaming, as well as a "firing" button for faster shooting in FPS games.
    • PLUS you lose 1 button.. the profile change button is very inconveniently placed on the bottom of the mouse, so you have to swap it with another button
    • Perfect fit and the buttons are just the right resistance even though not mechanical
    • I thought I would hate the button to the left of the left click, but it turns out I use it a lot for autorun, or push to talk in games.
    • My only disappointment was that the 12 buttons on the side couldn't be programmed as completely new buttons and had to be mapped over other keys, but that's the fault of windows not supporting more than 5 mouse buttons.
    • The buttons are solid, well made and not to stiff or lose
    • The buttons feel smooth and very responsive, the texture of the mouse is durable, and the software makes setup and customization effortless
    • Cheap, squeaky buttons and wheel
    • The buttons are responsive and have a good feel, not to mention that it is easy to tell where on the keypad you are.
    • I like the multiple buttons on the side for key mapping and the nature hand placement on the
    • The macro software is not good enough, you can infact record any macro and execute it with the push of a button, or assign a number of cycles for the macro to be executed, but there is no option to execute the macro continuously when you hold won the button
    • The buttons all fell great and can all be easily reached, the side buttons (numbered 1 to 12) each have a particular shape and orientation to allow your thumb to slide from button to button seamlessly
    • My razer and Logitech mouse by now would have had malfunctioning & sloppy buttons
    • Worked well from the time I purchased it from March 2015 up until Nov 2016 when the laser was no longer lighting up and ALL the buttons stopped working
    • It has one of the better button layouts on it
    • The mouse comes with programmable buttons, great for gaming such as CS:GO in where you can program them for changing weapons etc
    • the buttons on the side are not that easy to press and
    • Even the right click button after time will register two clicks on a single click
    • Mouse is responsive, programmable buttons feel good but a little clumpted
    • The DPI buttons and indicators are handy
    • Then given that you can't auto change with selection, you essentially lose 2 buttons
    • I love the light customization, and my sole complaint is that it lacks a backwards and forwards button on the side, for when I'm not gaming
    • The 12 button thumb area, the last 6 buttons are fairly difficult to reach without adjusting my hand over the mouse to manipulate use, I rarely use them anyways for my macro
    • Comfortable in my hands, buttons are very responsive, and i've had 0 issues with it so far
    • mouse works well buttons make it easy for games such as fortnite
    • If you do stick with the claw grip, though, I'm afraid you're going to be a little more uncomfortable using the rapid-fire button
    • It's a mouse, it has a decent button layout save for the 'Fire' button which is like reaching for the orange button in Guitar Hero, the shape is comfortable but it's not well set up or developed for gaming purposes
    • Uncomfortable because the side digs into your thumb also cheaply made buttons
    • The buttons on top, to quickly change the DPI settings without having to tab out of game, is plus as well
    • I really like the ability to have multiple profiles for different games, and different button assigned in each profile very useful
    • The buttons on the side are the worst to try and press out of ANY mmo mouse I have ever tried
    • I found the Razer too slippery to hold, so whenever I press the number buttons it "slips out" of my hands
    • , I'm going to try a different one with 12 side buttons next time, also if you need to click fast, the indented left and right click buttons are hard to click fast
    • I had a Red Dragon mouse with a very similar button setup on the top and side that functioned well for much less than the price of a Razer Naga.
    • But on the Venus, all the buttons worked well, although the back row were difficult to reach at times.
    • My problems:-The mapping of the 12 side buttons is done with the keyboard, as in you map the buttons to keys
    • Perfect size and shape for my big hand... all those side buttons easy to command even with guitar-calloused fingertips
    • and i have yet to feel like I have too many buttons
    • The only downside is button 1 on the mouse is button 1 on keyboard (action bar 1), button 2 on mouse is button 2 on keyboard (action bar 2)and so on
    • , I'm going to try a different one with 12 side buttons next time, also if you need to click fast, the indented left and right click buttons are hard to click fast
    • Once you got used with it, you won't find any better multi-button mice with that price.
    • The first one arrived and had two defective buttons on the 1 thru 12 side buttons
    • I was looking to replace my 2012 naga because the right button wasn't fully functional
    • Love the programmable buttons. makes work so much easier
    • button(kinda dumb) as a back button
    • The additional button above the left click is very useful and easy to reach, but has to be remapped for most uses (initially set to triple click)
    • Great and programmable buttons for a very affordable price
    • It's comfortable & buttons are easy access
    • The design is nice and the mouse is comfortable, although the buttons are hard and a little difficult to push
    • Like others have said, the crazy high DPI is definitely unnecessary, but the driver software offers all the customizability that anyone would need (5 switchable DPI settings, keybinding to all the top and side buttons, color of the flashing LEDs, etc.).
    • This mouse works as designed, the buttons are great even for smaller hands.
    • As time went on however more and more buttons stopped working
    • The buttons on the side are NOT as easy to accidentally push as I thought they'd be, but are easy enough that I have gotten faster at using my abilities on World of Warcraft! Some of the other buttons have even helped me out with large editing of text in some of my documents!I did have to significantly adjust the cursor speed on my laptop for this mouse, and it took me a week or longer to get used to the weight and smooth speed during gaming time
    • 12 programmable buttons is awesome.
    • The mouse works perfectly and I love having sensitivity control right below the mouse wheel and the buttons on the side are perfect for quick, responsive gaming.
    • The 'double click' button is slightly too far down the mouse for my taste, but works great
    • There are 5 available profiles within each profile the 12 side buttons and the top 6 buttons can be independently configured as clicks, keypresses, macros, various system commands (e.g. lock screen, pause/play media, mute microphone, copy/paste, etc.), profile or DPI switches, or disabled dummies
    • Like the programmable buttons as well so still getting use to the precision of the pointer.
    • It feels well-built and even for my large hands, all the buttons are easy to reach except for the up/down buttons under the scroll wheel (and I don't think those are intended for easy access during gameplay).I don't care much either way about all the glowing and color stuff, but from what I can tell it all works fine
    • Pressing the number buttons will take you directly to whatever tool you want, as long as you know what number it is which doesn't take too long to know, your scroll wheel is a good excuse if you have to search for it
    • The buttons are easy to reach, even with short fingers.
    • The top left button is pretty good feeling.
    • I do have larger hands so the buttons on the side are a little hard to switch thru with my thumb, but I probably need to practice more
    • The mouse's programmable buttons are easy to control, manage, and use (even in the heat of an MMO battle)
    • The 12 buttons on the side are very well placed and easily accessible with the thumb, all really responsive
    • : Was a 1 star for its faulty buttons, however, was send a new one by this company
    • The buttons between the left and right click to switch profiles are easy to accidentally hit, causing the speed to go up or down dramatically (I suppose this could be fixed by making all mouse profile speeds the same, kind of defeats the purpose of it though)
    • The buttons are really smooth
    • the number 6 button doesn't work properly, you should push it so hard to work other than the other buttons they work fine
    • I was always hitting the right mouse button when pressing the 12 keys
    • (My old razor one's scroll bar and top buttons (not clickers) would give out after 3 months)
    • The buttons on the side of it are good for push to talk and meleeing in Overwatch
    • Initially the buttons were very weird (I'm used to the Razer Naga) but I got used to their placement and weird wave pattern eventually
    • Very comfortable, last 3 buttons are a little hard to reach but it's doable.
    • Only recently did the number 7 button start to show signs of wear
    • I love the buttons on the side for MMO's and RTS games.
    • The top buttons feel solid
    • nothing bad.. just not made for guys with larger hands..buttons close as heck together.
    • ive ever owned...its super responsive all the buttons work perfectly...software is super easy to understand and tweak your settings
    • They are convenient buttons, so they will still make nice keybinds for games.
    • has lots of color options for the buttons easy to use and set up.
    • Because, you know, the 13 other buttons weren't enough ;).
    • It’s completely possible that I’m just too accustomed to the Naga, but I lose place of where my thumb is easier than I previously did, resulting in mis-clicks, and the actual feel of pressing the buttons is much softer rather than the definitive “clicky” feel
    • Great sensor, buttons and wheel.
    • 1 day shipping, the buttons on the side are super useful.
    • It's comfortable, durable, and the buttons are easy to program and use
    • Customizable weight, speed, prefs (can swap prefs with a click of a button), keypad placement perfect for easy use, comfortable on the handCons: Limited to new users willing to adapt and go through the process of changing the settings to meet their needs in specific, this mouse is not one that you can just plug in and play, it needs to be calibrated by you.
