The amount of weights in it is easy to adjust to your liking as well as the coloring of the lights, buttons, and speed

That, and it's in a gorgeous gold color, with a beautiful finish.

When I had the pure white color chosen, the front LEDs had a neon/xeon blue look to them

This mouse comes with an external program that allows you to program all of the keys and buttons as well as reset the colors that cycle while it's waiting for your next move

The software also allows you to decide which LED color you want for your mouse (blue/red/green, etc).The location and number of the buttons however requires you to gain muscle memory when using the side buttons for programmed commands, or you could find yourself hitting the wrong macro command.

while I am a novice with this part, I can say, with the adjustable weights of the mouse, cool color schemes and the easy DPI switch, makes this mouse one of my favorite of all time

You cannot change individual colors, like for each button or section of the mouse; You can only have it set to one color

Like others have said, the crazy high DPI is definitely unnecessary, but the driver software offers all the customizability that anyone would need (5 switchable DPI settings, keybinding to all the top and side buttons, color of the flashing LEDs, etc.).

Was at a friend's house and she used the venus, its looks great, the color customization is awesome to compliment different setup colors, and it has the side buttons

The colors are very pretty

This coloring is tied to the specific profiles, which does help to distinguish between them, but it limits the color options of the rest of the mouse when you are trying to make them compliment each other.
