    • My ears are completely free from touching anything and sound signature change a tiny bit with the XL pads
    • Due to the very strong clamp force, the sound isolation is probably the best among all the over-ear headphone I've tried, and the benefit to that is you won't miss any detail even in a loud environment (like commute).2

    • the sound quality is outstanding and the headphones are very durable, but the inside of the headphones (not the cushion, the part that covers up the drivers) touches my ears with the stock cushions so i would recomend the xl memory foam cushions sold as an add on

    • I tried adjusting the headband by bending it outward, as suggested by the V-Moda site, and I've bent them so far out that they are now somewhat loose when I have the headphones on, but they still hurt my ears
    • The bottom line is, if you listen to a pair of phones and after a few hours your ears start to hurt, that's a bad product
    • when i bought them they were priced at 100 USD off amazon), or maybe my ears arent sensitive enough to hear the 200 dollar audio quality difference
    • Its near-indestructable quality, comfort pending your ears aren't too large (as I've heard on head-fi, but most people I've had audition them thought they were extremely comfortable), and its sound make for an excellent portable headphone, even fun to listen to at home if you don't mind a bit of extra bass

    • I'll check back here after some months to say if they're really "built to last".EDIT 03/02/15: the clamping is still a problem, it keeps hurting my ears even with the XL pads after an hour of two of use, but this helped to alleviate the pain on the top of my head: http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Leatherette-Universal-Sennheiser-Beyerdynamic/dp/B00862522A/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_topEDIT 08/05/2015: after almost a year, they keep strong and steady

    • For $20 your sound stage is expanded, your ears will have more room, and they keep your ears cool as well.
    • This would be the equivalent of someone sitting a front-row seat on a live orchestra/symphony performance where the strings/violins/horns takes center stage and your ears hear them loud and clear.
    • There's no ear-piercing closeness or distant echo from these which keeps your ears ready for some more great tunes
    • The left headphone jack would only power the right ear and the right headphone driver made everything sound robotic.
    • Finally on my headphone and this once ALSO cam with a loose ear cup, bearable comparible to first set, but COME ON for $300 I expect the best build quality, what can you really expect though being they are made in china
    • Very comfortable, I never feel like I have to take them off to give my ears a break
    • I did not need something that would transport me to the moon, but something that would take me down the street to a place where my ears can be happy.

    • They crush your ears if you don't replace the foam pads with their xl version of pads as well
    • These ear pads are very comfortable and fit around your ear, unlike the originals that tend to sit on the outer edges of your ear.*Sound*Getting straight to the point, these headphones sound absolutely amazing
    • and I have really sensitive ears
    • My ears are perfect for these though
    • To remedy this you may want to consider purchasing the additional ear pads that Amazon may recommend
    • , they lacked bass and my ears were easily fatigued from the crystal clear, but harsh highs
    • Best bang for bucks audiophile grade over-ear headphones available in the market right now.
    • Truly, the cushions that come with it are horrible, they hurt your ears and they don't facilitate sound as well as the XL cushions in my opinion
    • I've got a large head and big ears and I wear glasses which means that if an "over the ear" headset isn't fully surrounding my ear it pinches my ear between my glasses and the headset and after hours of wearing the headset, it will start to hurt
    • That being said, I do feel like I have larger ears, but the headphones were uncomfortable to wear for after a little while because the ear cups pressed in directly on my ears
    • but the right ear cup did not work
    • and I was able to use it for my long European and Asia travels without ear fatigue
    • Other then that these are simply UNMATCHED in sound quality...but for me the comfort issue was a deal killer...if you have smallish ears and lots of hair atop your head these will probably work for you, but in my case I will probably have to sacrifice the best sound for more comfort and got with the Quiet Comfort Bose headphones
    • But the metal hurts my ears after like 20 minutes of listening.
    • Like if its under 60 degrees fahrenheit and there's a breeze, my ears will hurt sharply

    • My ears stick out farther than usual so I wont deduct a star because I have yet to find a pair that DOESNT hurt my ears

    • Cons - your ears will get a bit hot during long listening sessions
    • I have worn these on long haul flights and not once did I experience any ear fatigue or discomfort
    • I can't wear them for too long becase then they hurt my ears

    • The only improvement I could think of would be a tad bit lighter, and perhaps a little softer ear cups
    • My ears got less hot, I didn't think it would matter, but it did; so a positive there.)
    • If you have smaller ears you will be fine but mid size or big ears the pads fall on your ear not around them.
    • Extras (these things are NOT included with headphones):- As mentioned above, you can (and should) purchase the larger XL ear pads to improve comfort for $20.

    • The first week i had them, they would start to hurt my ears after a couple hours, but not after i bought the xl earpads
    • My only con is that they can hurt your ears after long listening sessions
    • I also cannot, cannot listen to headphones with sibilance, the term meaning that when the letter "s" is pronounced, especially with female vocals, it sound like a snake hurting your ears and it sounds nothing like what an "s" would sound in real life coming from a person in front of you.
    • I also own Sennheiser Momentum's which are very light and don't need charging, but have underwhelming bass to say the least and hurt my ears after wearing them for only an hour or two
    • I did not like the standard ears
    • My ears comfortably fit after adjusting the headband to my liking
    • I also cannot, cannot listen to headphones with sibilance, the term meaning that when the letter "s" is pronounced, especially with female vocals, it sound like a snake hurting your ears and it sounds nothing like what an "s" would sound in real life coming from a person in front of you.
    • In addition, these headphones are the most comfortable I have ever worn, and luckily I don't have my ears become numb after hours of wear
    • When I first received the headphones the right ear was not working.
    • My ears still get a little hot after using these for a while, but you can take a break and resume your listening session.
    • If you have smaller ears you will be fine but mid size or big ears the pads fall on your ear not around them.
    • I would pinch the foam ear
    • It felt like my ears didn't have a lot of room, and they got fatiguing very quickly
    • It's not perfect - I do have to adjust, or pull up to let my warm ears breathe - but it makes a world of difference with comfort
    • the m-100 lets you plug into the left or the right ear cup
    • Work better then any gaming headset I've ownedCon's (not many)- Like most over ear headphones there heavy, wearing them for an extended length of time, my ears would get sore
    • I initially didn't think I cared all that much, until I heard more than one pair, listened carefully, and realized that not only there were indeed major differences, but some headphones downright hurt my ears because the sound was too "harsh" or the treble was bad/too bright (this was true even with high quality/uncompressed music, not just lower-resolution MP3s or streaming music).
    • These cover the ears as opposed to the M80 that sit on top of the ear.
    • My ears will get sore after an extended period of

    • Just do it your ears will thank you
    • Over two hours of gaming, The headset starts to irritate my ears
    • They will fatigue your ears rapidly after 30-60 minutes likely due to the extremely articulate and detailed highs as well as the extremely low LF extension.
    • If you are overwhelmed by the choices of headphones available in the $300 price range, are looking for something to use at home as well as on the go and care about quality sound while also appreciating deep, powerful, tight bass, these are simply the best choice available.
    • These headphones add the right amount of tight, clear base that makes the music realistic and warm rather than flat and stark as in the Bose.
    • Now the headphones still work as if they were brand new.
    • They still work as perfectly as they did the day that I got them
    • (i.e. voices sounded nothing like a real life person in front of you, no way you could be confused as to whether a person was singing in front of you), and it was just unpleasant to my ears, period.3
    • They're made for quality as well as
    • If you don't spring for the $30 XL memory cushions, enjoy a highly uncomfortable (and sticky feeling) listening experience
    • yes they're great to use them on the plane in the car at home but not as a
    • I'm pretty sure that you can find headphones that sound as good as or better than these, the problem is that you would pay much more than these cost
    • I would also recommend purchasing directly from m-voda as there are cheaper generic Chinese cushions that apparently fit these
    • Also, for me, they didn't quite fit over the ear all the way, I feel like they should be sold as an on-ear headphone
    • If you listen to a lot of midrange-centric music (classical, folk, some types of pop, smooth jazz, etc.), the bass is really too distracting as it is very forward relative to the midrange and thus midrange-centric music just doesn't sound right
    • I would not however recommend these in white as they can get dirty rather quickly.
    • I have had several high end headphones and recently purchased the HD dj8 and as great as it was, it lacked that mesmerizing sound effect
    • Works well with the cell phone on occasion as well as on the PS4 through the DS4 3.5mm port which as usall requires no extra amplification
    • 5/5Obviously works amazingly well with the Steam library of games as well as when the PS3 is connected to the laptop's various assortment of input
    • I've also had some time to compare the M-100 to my other pair of V-MODA headphones, the V-80, as well as to other headphones I've managed to play with at various retailers in New York City such as the Apple Store and B&H Photo
    • I listen to a lot of music on the L system in Chicago traveling to and from work, as well as at the gym and at night before I go to sleep
    • If that wasn’t enough they also sell the shields in different textures, as well as in Steel and Precious Metal
    • Overall: These headphones have gone through the ringer of a college lifestyle for almost six months now and still look, sound and feel as great as the day I got them
    • Also included is an amazingly well thought out case that is as beautiful as it is utilitarian
    • I changed the earcup pads to the XL memory foam size and it was better, but not as good as for example the Sony or KEF in comfort level.
    • I just spent the last half hour reading a bunch of the one star reviews, and they all have an excellent response from the 'six star support' team as well as from the supporting community
    • I paid full price for a new item and received a used item twice, and while this headset may work as if it was brand new, I don't know the circumstances that led the previous owners to return
    • I Listen to all sorts of music ranging from rock, metal to hip hop, r&b, jazz and country music and these headphones work fine with all of them
    • For me, I find this particular signature less ideal for strong vocal tracks but good for more modern R&B, Hip Hop, and Electronic genre
