    V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Over-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone (Phantom Chrome)

    • I'm just a regular person who enjoys music and likes to own quality things that perform and doesn't settle for just anything, like to research first and then buy when I'm sure I'm getting the best for my buck
    • They appear to allow music to just sound good
    • I have never heard my music sound this good, and I have been listening to it with damn good-quality gear even before buying these headphones
    • As an average consumer (I am in no way an Audiophile, just someone who likes music and is willing to go for some quality products), these headphones are perfect
    • The cord does not tangle and make noise when moved - this keeps the music pure
    • Instead you get v-moda's spin on what all your music should sound like
    • Yes, I'm sure if you crank your music up all the way you'll disturb people but at comfortable listening levels (for me rarely exceeds 50%) it should be fine
    • When listening to modern electronic music though, these headphones sound outstanding stock
    • Crispy clear music
    • Definitely a recommended buy for anyone looking to get better music and video sound on a headset
    • I replaced a pair of Sony MDR-V6s with these, and while I could go on and on about how music 'sounds' and what it 'feels' like and a bunch of other subjective nonsense I can for certain say that these headphones are comfortable
    • I consider myself a casual listener who doesn't like to listen to terrible sounding music
    • Didn't know I could love music more than I already did
    • + XL pads + BoomPro = killer gaming and music enjoyment
    • I usually listen to EDM, hip-hop, and pop and these headphones deliver the right music quality
    • I'm really interested to know what other great rated headphones would my music sound like now, but am thoroughly enjoying the experience of my V-Modas
    • Another note is that these headphones tend to leak sound a bit more than I would like, so if I was in a quiet environment I do not know if I would be comfortable playing music loudly
    • so you have to love electronic music
    • These headphones add the right amount of tight, clear base that makes the music realistic and warm rather than flat and stark as in the Bose.
    • I will always remember walls climbing to the ceiling covered with JBL professional speakers, that would shatter glass, the music was so loud
    • Amazing for trance/goa techno and electronic music in general, great for djent, hard rock, all types of metal
    • Using a Fiio amplifier that has a "bass boost" button that works well (unlike bass boost through software for example which I found deteriorates the music a lot), it gives as much bass as the
    • What I truly love about the M-100's sound is its ability to just make you forget where you are and just make you dance or sing out loud as you happily enjoy your music
    • While these are tuned for EDM, Hip Hop, Rap, and modern music in general, I have used these to listen to everything under the sun and haven't ever disliked any music coming through these including classical.
    • I have never heard classical music more clear than when using the V-Moda headphones
    • They are so good that they will expose poor bitrate music for what it is
    • On high my music sounds like crap.
    • This headphones are meant to enjoy bassy music but they excell at that job seriously listen something like OST of Tron legacy and damn you feel in the movie theater again its amazing.
    • These block just enough sound to enjoy the music at normal volumes, while remaining comfortable and not too tight like shooting ear-muffs (do not try shooting with these).
    • Music has never been easier to share
    • I repeatedly listened to some of my favorite music in MP3, FLAC, and CD; I remain stunned to hear the clarity and detail in the music.
    • I am no audiophile; just a guy who really enjoys music in its purist form.
    • I mainly listen to metal, but also typical "audiophile music" (well-recorded music) as I work in a hifi store
    • Sure the music will sound fantastic
    • Third, and I don't know how to exactly describe this, but the soundstage was not good to my ears at all, it sounded like the music is coming from headphones, you could not be mistaken and think it's coming from real-life, or even full-size speakers in a room; and certainly not compared to the Philips Fidelio X2 or even the V-Moda M-100.
    • If you listen to modern music or have a penchant for bass heavy music these will deliver
    • They sound crisp and sharp with punchy base, and really transform electronic music like the Tron soundtrack by daft punk, and will blow you away with "This is Berk" orchestra on the How to train my Dragon soundtrack
    • These are designed for modern music and for electronic music
    • It sounds unbelievable with any modern music or rock
    • Recently I've been inquiring about a new and serious pair of headphones that can enhance my music listening and movie watching experience
    • In Coldplay's Green Eyes, you can clearly hear the guitar playing on the left and Chris' vocals on the right - it's almost like the music is being played directly in front of you
    • but they didn't have enough bass for my kind of music (dubstep, trap, electro-house
    • I wouldn't hesitate recommending these for modern music listening but not for orchestral, opera or other music like that.
    • From soft music to loud music, I am enveloped in velvety sound, with a driven and ambitious bass profile
    • The sound signature is as close to perfect for modern music as I have ever heard, with an excellent detail reproduction, booming (but not muddled) bass, clearly-defined treble, and a crystal clear mid-range
    • Even in noisy environments I found myself enjoying the music more with the M100s and Momentums
    • As long as I turn my music down when the game starts to a low level, it does not hinder my ability to hear footsteps or anything.
    • Also, these headphones have a closed back, meaning they do not leak music out as would an open-back headphone (which you generally don't see in public for this reason)
    • I treat these headphones like a small child and don't play my music that loud
    • I'm not a headphone connoisseur by any means, but I do LOVE my music
    • I'm 50, and used to love disco music back in the 80's
    • He is an avid music listener and prefers the V-Moda sound and quality of construction to his past experiences with Beats.
    • This is a great set of headphones that rival some of my more expensive music headphones from Sennheiser
    • Better quality, will make you enjoy your music more.
    • And last but not least, these can easily be driven by a portable music player such as a laptop or a smartphone and still sound amazing
    • From soft music to loud music, I am enveloped in velvety sound, with a driven and ambitious bass profile
    • It does, however, make for very fun listening with most popular music like rock, pop and hip-hop (rhyme not intentional).2
    • Very happy with these and enjoy my music more now with these.
    • If you have a love for music and are looking for a pair of good more top-notch set of headphones to better enjoy your music, the M100 will be your cup of tea over the Dre Beats Studios
    • Classical music sounds beautiful, the instruments are clear and you can pick up ones you can't hear with other headphones
    • time)I can honestly say these headphones have made me appreciate my music all over again
    • Over the years I have had the pleasure of attending several concerts of my favorite artists and now I am able to enjoy their music as though I was sitting on the front row of their concerts because the sounds is so realistic in the M-100's
    • I love music so good headphones are a big deal to me
    • If you love music get these $300 is a lot of
    • Pretty good for other kinds of modern music
    • so it's still music I'm listening too), also great for if you don't want to buy an amp.
    • Really doesn't feel like the music is coming from the headphones it feels more like the music is just coming from
    • This thing blew my mind when i put some music on and it works perfectly
    • Time for hours of great music listening!
    • The headphones give your music a fullness and richness you may have never heard before
    • I love music and need to sound great no matter what
    • Listening to random songs, just enjoying music at this point :)
    • I love music and these don't let anything go unheard
    • However, I am an rabid music fan (specifically Metal... Power, Prog, Black, Death, etc.
    • They are tuned for more modern music with a good deal of emphasis on bass.
    • I they have not ship them 4 business days later.buying cushions for a 300 USD product is not something I like, but without them I dont think you can really enjoy you music for long periods of time
    • , that old wonder that music could sound this good
    • Apple's earbuds were adequate to the task when the music was loud or the actors were shouting, but whispers were completely lost in the roar of the engines
    • - I'm no audiophile, and these are certainly not in that market, but I would say if you like pop music and want to hear crisp highs and smooth but deep lows, you can't go wrong.
    • Music sounds more dynamic, more alive, enveloping and surrounding.
    • If you love music, bass and well balanced headphones these bad boys are well worth the investment
    • like, the treble just hurts my ears; or it sounds like the music is coming from a metal can, not real life,
    • I had a chance to listen to some pieces of music on my Ipod that I enjoyed the music but the quality was found lacking due to distortion and having to keep the volume low to keep the headphones from bottoming out on areas of the song with heavy bass.
    • I recommend these for anybody who loves music or mixes or DJ's, they are worth the money and your time, I'm hooked!!!!!
    • There is no loss of sound quality when listening to acoustic or classical music, as the bass does not overpower music that doesn't incorporate a great deal of bass
    • I totally recommend them as they will give you the clearest sound and will make you enjoy even more all your beloved music
    • I bought the Audio Technica headphones because of the many rave reviews and was mainly impressed with the clarity of the sound but to me they were just too uncomfortable and the sound was not fun enough , so when these M-100's went on sale I picked a pair up , and so far these have been the best pair I have owned , they could easily be driven by most mobile devices , the sound is almost as clean as the Ath-m50's but also adds that extra oomph that I was looking for , the built quality is superior to any other headphones I have owned in the past and they feel indestructible , if you want to squeeze the best out of these you can always add an amp like the FiiO A3 that I am currently using , it drives them better and adds better soundstage making the music listening much more pleasurable .
    • I got these for plugging into my piano but also just for listening to great music without waking the family.
    • The sound was closer to the Sennheiser Momentum, but it sounded a little less like the music came through a metal can, and more open/real-life; just a little bit.
    • The colored sound signature requires equalizer manipulation to render genres that heavily feature acoustic music well
    • Their industrial and stylish appearance will turn heads in any environment, and they are perfect for both "lifestyle" fashion as well as music listening at work or in the home
    • Something that hits hard/loud and will massage my head while enjoying some music
    • If you love music, and all genres of it, you must have this headphone
    • In the end, V-MODA chose to design these first and foremost for the EDM / pop music listener with a smartphone / portable music player, not the guys listening to jazz or classical through a $10K stereo, so if you're the intended audience, I say, really the hardest choice is going to be what color you get and how you customize them, not whether to buy them.
    • pleasing(not artificial), the highs were soaring and non-fatiguing, even in the most complex music I could discern individual instruments and yet the sound remained extraordinarily smooth
    • Or even that consumer who doesn't nitpick and care much about sound flaws and just wants to listen to good music, have a headphone that looks that kill and that military-grade built to last years of abuse
    • The headphone for anyone serious about reliving their youth by crushing mix after mix of progressive house music
    • I love music, if my ears could gain weight (they'd be 300 lbs), & I'm elated with
    • The noise canceling feature and high quality sound isolate the music so that you hear everything you want and nothing you don'tDesign - Let's be honest
    • I would recommend this for heavy bass listeners and it actually does all music pretty well
    • M-100 was a pleasure to listen to with music genres which benefit from enhanced bass, but it wasn't as enjoyable when I listened to more instrumental music or streamed a movie on my phone where bass really got in a way of dialog
    • I listen to Punk(Black Flag, The Misfits, Bad Religion), Hardcore(As I Lay Dying, Converge, Bury Your Dead), Black Metal(Old Mans Child, Dimmu Borgir Immortal, Taake), Metal(Danzig, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Technical Punk and Metal(Dragonforce, Mudvayne, Coheed and Cambria), Thrash Metal and Punk(Slayer, Municipal Waste, Suicidal Tendencies), Alternative(Soundgarden, Primus, Faith No More), and some Hip Hop(Pharsyde, Swollen Members, Blackalicious) music.
    • I'd say that with the XL upgrade the V-Moda's crushed both other headphones with bass infused music, and was slightly behind, especially on the mids with classical, jazz, spoken word and warm music
    • Modern music of all genres tends to have lots of bass today to begin
    • Playing these from the headphone port on the macbook pro, I was able to push the volume way up and still enjoy my music.
    • ... however I am an avid music fan
    • However, since the bass very strong, music leaked pretty loudly, but if u taped the sides of headphones over the 3 lines, it diminished leak a lot
    • I do have very fond memories of listening to the M-100 for hours on end blissfully distracted by the sound quality, but I find it impossible to have these on unless I'm really immersed in some good music
    • These are the headphones I pull out when I want to enjoy my music
    • The noise isolation is a nice feature for anyone who likes their music loud, because you'll find you don't have to turn it up as much to drown out the background sound of a noisy subway, airplane, or coffee shop
    • One pair I could only hear out of one ear and the other would cut in and out of loud and soft music
    • Superb headphones need superb music to be played with
    • Best for people who loves lots of bass music (hard rock is also included)
    • If there is something good about the Beats is that your friends won't need extra plugs for their headphones to enjoy your music because they will be able to listen to your music clearly when you wear the Beats
    • I spend hours wearing headphones and these are hands down the best! For fresh new music go to my Soundcloud.com/djstevecastroThanks for the support!!!Steve Castro
    • Although the sound does bleed quite a bit (meaning other people can hear your music) and they aren't as comfortable as Bose QuietComfort, they are top-notch everywhere else.
    • I like Dr Dre music and decided that if he endorsed this product it must be good, right (it looks a lot more naive in print form)
    • One thing that got my instant attention was that I was hearing some sounds like the tinkle of a triangle etc that apparently had been lost in the distortion that the other brand headphones were creating tryimng to deal with the very very complex music.
    • It won't have the same ability as say Beats or Bose to really cancel out the background white noise for planes or transit, but it will isolate enough that you can enjoy your music in peace at around 50% for an iPod
    • It's tuned, and so maybe audiophiles and mixers will find it difficult (if you want flat, go for M50s) to tweak, but out of the box this pair will make all music sound great
    • The M-100 sounds great with every type of music and really shines with popular and electronic music.
    • Great purchase when money isn't an issue and you're looking for solid high quality portable music listening.
    • Music sounds great for all of mysongs
    • Plus, if you are not listening to vinyl or DVD music, and prefer mp3 music, download your songs with atleast 320kbps (which is the same as a CD)
    • The sound quality is so crisp and clear and at first I was disappointed with the base, but after I played music for a couple hours and the headphones were broken in, the bass wobbled through all the lows and highs
    • To start off, I'm no audiophile, but I sure do appreciate music when listening through great sounding speakers or headphones.
    • Exceptional music quality
    • Also, I like to listen to loud music, and when I do everyone can hear what Im listenng to, word for word
    • When you can get this kind of quality for this kind of money, why are we bothering with anything else?Cheap headphones mask the music, ruin the music, without the listener even realizing
    • I love trio music, and the bass simply over-powered the piano, when it was the piano that was leading the trio.
    • and I would highly recommend these headphones to all audiophiles who wish to enjoy their music at high level quality, while at the same time, doing other work and not disturbing anyone else with your favorite music.
    • I really came to love music
    • This is my first set of headphones that have a 50 mm voice coil and they really deliver excellent music sound
    • I love music and with my

    • I love music
    • When music lacks distortion, playing it louder does not hurt your ears.. it is the distortion that will make you reach for the volume control to turn them down.
    • The sound isolation is good, it's easy to enjoy music while walking through the city, though it is nowhere NEAR sound cancelling
    • I own beats, bose, and V-Moda headphones, because I love music, and I have been very lucky
    • The bass is punchy and so crisp, I just can't get enough of it!!These are pretty decent with other types of music too, where the bass is not the dominant part, such as rock and vocal music where you need the treble to kick in
    • I can wear them in my living room with 3 kids playing, my wife watching TV, and still enjoy my music due to the good noise isolation
    • To me, slightly exaggerated, it sounded like music playing through a metal can, that's the best I can describe it.
    • I love music and I enjoy listening to several genres, but I am just that
    • -A very wonderfully articulate sound experience for a music lover like me.
    • If you want pure, flat music for monitoring purposes/ classical music I'd buy the MSR-7's
    • If you can afford these (and you should try, because listening to beautiful music is one of the greatest feelings in the world), there is no better substitute.
    • However, since the bass very strong, music leaked pretty loudly, but if u taped the sides of headphones over the 3 lines, it diminished leak a lot
    • However, I'm an audiophile that loves sound and music
    • If you like music even just a little, you need these cans
    • To that point the MODAs have a great seal and do a fantastic job eliminating ambient noise, not as good as the beats, but I only could notice that difference when the music was not playing so really no benefit there unless you are just trying to sleep
    • I think this makes it easier to enjoy a private listening experience for loud music lovers, but not one that completely isolates you from reality
    • The V-MODA M-100 sounds amazing, which is why it pains me so much to have to send it back.
    • Like the V-MODA Crossfade LP2 headphones, the new M-100's are designed with extremely high-quality standards in mind
    • So naturally curiosity got the better of me, as I thought if the M-80 is amazing, what must the M-100 be like?!
    • 7.5I own some and already had contact with some other "audiophile-grade" headphones, but I think the fairest comparison and obvious nemesis to the Crossfade M-100 must be the Beats Studio
    • The V-Moda M-100's sound incredible and are unbelievably durable
    • The one friend out of 7 that did this test picked the cheapest headset I have as his favorite, which I can say is an awesome headset for the money, but just doesn't have the clarity in the mid and high end as the V-MODA M-100 has
    • I am very happy, and am sure that i will enjoy using the Crossfade M-100 for many years.
    • On the other hand, the m-100 handles vocals very well (albeit a bit colored) yet its weakness is its handling of guitar riffs and string instruments
    • Ultimately, for me, it actually complements the M-80 and what it was lacking (especially since the M-80's mids can sometimes irritate and be grainy in some tracks)
    • The M-80's are so good that my "favorites" playlist grew by 50+ songs that would have never made the cut.
    • Well I purchased the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 and with in 3 or 4 minutes of using
    • I sure enjoy listing to my favorite artist on the new crossfade M-100 V-MODA headphones and look forward to many years of solid performance.
    • comparisons).Would I recommend the M-100
    • I love my Crossfade M-100 headphones!!
    • Don't get me wrong, these weren't just about bass, they have a nice mid and high range as well, but not as good as the M-100s (which I will get to later).
    • Magnificent workmanship on the V-Moda Crossfade M-100
    • Unfortunately, the M-100 definitely lack when it comes to the mids
    • The M-100 meets and exceeds all of these criteria and if I could, I would give their value a 10/5 because they really are the perfect headphones for me for mobile listening
    • The Vmoda M-100, the most noticeable difference was the comfort even with stock pads, my ears were touching the inner ear pads a tiny bit, but not so much that it would add discomfort.
    • Ultimately, for me, it actually complements the M-80 and what it was lacking (especially since the M-80's mids can sometimes irritate and be grainy in some tracks)
    • I own lp2 as well as the m-100
    • My next purchase is the amplifier to push these to the next level, I highly recommend the M-100's!
    • 7.5I own some and already had contact with some other "audiophile-grade" headphones, but I think the fairest comparison and obvious nemesis to the Crossfade M-100 must be the Beats Studio
    • The M-100s use "noise isolation
    • I could NOT be happier with the CrossFade M-100 by V-MODA
    • The M-100s offer you unrivaled sound performance; delivering exceptional bass, while retaining crisp and clear mids and highs
    • He calls the M- 100 noise isolation just because no battery is required
    • For the most part, the M-100 pairs well with inexpensive, portable headphone amplifiers, so you don't need to go out of your way and purchase a super, high-fidelity headphone amplifier that costs over $300.From what I have, a FiiO E7 USB DAC and a JDS Labs (or the UK equivalent, Epiphany Acoustics
    • As for the rest of the fit, the M-100 does really well here
    • Most of my music library is some type of electronic music: EDM, thecno, Dubstep, trance, etc; for these music genres the M-100 excel in my opinion but thats not to say it can't do others
    • One of their employees grabbed a pair off the shelf, and after getting the headphones out of the box, I was left alone with the music on my phone and the matte black M-100s.
    • The M-100 fit close or hug your head, making them very stylish
    • The V-80 provides a more forward mid-range, but the M-100 provides more clarity and detail retrieval than its smaller sibling despite its more laid-back nature
    • The V-PORT design is interesting because it does make the M-100 leak music more so than other headphones, but it's not nearly to the same extent as an open-back headphone
    • I gotta say, I love my brand new M-100!They look and sound amazing!First of all, I must say that I'm a young
    • Buy the M-100, and ignore the LP.The M-100 gives you so much more clarity and presence that the LP sounds mushy in comparison.
    • For the record, I have tried the M-100's with other headphone amplifiers (cheap to really expensive), and the O2 just really pairs nicely with the M-100
    • Beautiful Product, very good U curve, no muddy lows or tinny highs, definitely a better headset for fashionable audiophiles.
    • You may not be as obsessed as I, but I guarantee you will be impressed.
    • On the positive I really like the way they combined steel and plastic in the headphones that gives these and industrial look and and a high quality feel
    • You may not be as obsessed as I, but I guarantee you will be impressed.
