In general, I find the shape of the V-MODA earcups - a vertically-stretched hexagon - to be a better fit for the shape of human ears than the typical round cups most headphones have, which are usually either too small to fit the top and bottom of my ears comfortably, or so large that they feel like I'm wearing a pair of bowls on my head
