    V-MODA Crossfade M-100 Over-Ear Noise-Isolating Metal Headphone (Phantom Chrome)

    • They're made of mostly metal (STRONG metal, I should add) and the little plastic on these is very hard, sturdy plastic that won't break easily
    • The fact they were made out of some hard plastic made it difficult to "break them in" to adjust to your head, so you couldn't just wear them and hope they would eventually form to your head
    • All the cables are kevlar reinforced and are not made out of cheap plastic but instead out of fabric which makes them like little ropes and VERY durable
    • Just so you don't think I'm purely biased because of the VMODAS, I had a pair of Beats before these I bought that broke within 3 months because, you guessed it, they're made by cheap plastic
    • The wing plates (where the metal frame that holds the cups meets the headband) are made of a brittle, cheap plastic that cracks over time
    • I started looking at options, and of course the popular plastic brand is the one you see the most at big box stores.
    • The design is not your standard aesthetic-minimalist work of art, nor the bulky design of audiophile headphones, or even the blinding colored plastic monuments that celebrity endorsed headphones are, but rather a kind of fashionable attempt which may not seem attractive to some, but its the kind of look that is out of the ordinary and in the end offers personality and style
    • These sound better than Beats in the same price range by far and they are 100 times more rugged as they are made to MIL-SPEC with superior materials not just cheap plastic
    • I broke all three of my Triports Bose head phones, these are not built flimsy plastic parts
    • I'm wondering - why utilize cheap plastic parts... sigh.
    • I got tired of over priced, over hyped having y headsets that were made of cheap plastic parts that broke (turtle beach worst offender), and I also appreciate high fidelity sound for music
    • No cheap plastic to break and the cords are very durable!
    • No cheap plastic to break and the cords are very durable!
    • I cannot express enough that the build quality of these headphones are unmatched by anything else on the market at this point, considering the majority of headphones are made of cheap plastic that is almost guaranteed to break
    • Pros:- Great sound when stock, AMAZING sound when mod applied.- Beautiful design that stands out from the crowd of shiny plastic headphones.- Unmatched
    • The glossy black plastic smudges very easily on the shadow m100s
    • I purchased them brand new but the plastic that was supposed to protect my headphones did more harm than good
    • (read on if you wanna read the rest review is over)Anyways onto my story: I love these headphones but unfortunately i sat on them (NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE) and it broke the plastic in the Band itself (possible to
    • They're made of mostly metal (STRONG metal, I should add) and the little plastic on these is very hard, sturdy plastic that won't break easily
    • They nicely combine hard plastic with metal, but they feel premium nonetheless
    • Still connected after 30 MILES DOWN THE HIGHWAY!!!Needless to say, my audio jack looks torn up, but after tinkering around, I found that the durable plastic casing under the rubber that surrounds the audio jack was the only thing that was bent
    • The plastic of the wing plates simply can't handle the stress of normal use
    • The hanger is made of a pleather-ish material, which is awesome due to the fact that the traditional plastic ones break often (small victories, I know.
    • If worn for extended periods, they become uncomfortable and sweaty because of the stiff plastic ear pads
    • I've had plenty of travel headphones that have broken due to the cheap plastics and my clumbsiness
    • I got a free $30 plastic plantronics headphone that sound almost the same to me, a little more base in the CrossFades but again nothing special or anything that changes my listing experience
    • Vmoda is the best ever, if you can afford them or if you are planning to buy or looking for the best, p,ease look no more
    • If you are overwhelmed by the choices of headphones available in the $300 price range, are looking for something to use at home as well as on the go and care about quality sound while also appreciating deep, powerful, tight bass, these are simply the best choice available.
    • These headphones add the right amount of tight, clear base that makes the music realistic and warm rather than flat and stark as in the Bose.
    • Now the headphones still work as if they were brand new.
    • They still work as perfectly as they did the day that I got them
    • (i.e. voices sounded nothing like a real life person in front of you, no way you could be confused as to whether a person was singing in front of you), and it was just unpleasant to my ears, period.3
    • They're made for quality as well as
    • If you don't spring for the $30 XL memory cushions, enjoy a highly uncomfortable (and sticky feeling) listening experience
    • yes they're great to use them on the plane in the car at home but not as a
    • I'm pretty sure that you can find headphones that sound as good as or better than these, the problem is that you would pay much more than these cost
    • I would also recommend purchasing directly from m-voda as there are cheaper generic Chinese cushions that apparently fit these
    • Also, for me, they didn't quite fit over the ear all the way, I feel like they should be sold as an on-ear headphone
    • If you listen to a lot of midrange-centric music (classical, folk, some types of pop, smooth jazz, etc.), the bass is really too distracting as it is very forward relative to the midrange and thus midrange-centric music just doesn't sound right
    • I would not however recommend these in white as they can get dirty rather quickly.
    • I have had several high end headphones and recently purchased the HD dj8 and as great as it was, it lacked that mesmerizing sound effect
    • Works well with the cell phone on occasion as well as on the PS4 through the DS4 3.5mm port which as usall requires no extra amplification
    • 5/5Obviously works amazingly well with the Steam library of games as well as when the PS3 is connected to the laptop's various assortment of input
    • I've also had some time to compare the M-100 to my other pair of V-MODA headphones, the V-80, as well as to other headphones I've managed to play with at various retailers in New York City such as the Apple Store and B&H Photo
    • I listen to a lot of music on the L system in Chicago traveling to and from work, as well as at the gym and at night before I go to sleep
    • If that wasn’t enough they also sell the shields in different textures, as well as in Steel and Precious Metal
    • Overall: These headphones have gone through the ringer of a college lifestyle for almost six months now and still look, sound and feel as great as the day I got them
    • Also included is an amazingly well thought out case that is as beautiful as it is utilitarian
    • I changed the earcup pads to the XL memory foam size and it was better, but not as good as for example the Sony or KEF in comfort level.
    • I just spent the last half hour reading a bunch of the one star reviews, and they all have an excellent response from the 'six star support' team as well as from the supporting community
    • I paid full price for a new item and received a used item twice, and while this headset may work as if it was brand new, I don't know the circumstances that led the previous owners to return
    • n’t recommend using these for exercising
    • You may not be as obsessed as I, but I guarantee you will be impressed.
    • On the positive I really like the way they combined steel and plastic in the headphones that gives these and industrial look and and a high quality feel
    • You may not be as obsessed as I, but I guarantee you will be impressed.
