We are familiar with the clicking sound of the stoppers when the pump is used successfully, but this pump will not pull a strong enough vacuum to get to the clicking stage, reducing the effectiveness of the system.

If you aren’t able to finish the bottle after opening, do yourself and the wine a favor- Vacuum Seal!

The vacuum seems to suck the aromatics out of the wine each time it is used which makes the wine taste more and more flat each time it is drunk, this is not for sipping the occasional glass from a bottle over a week, maybe will work for drinking a half or third a bottle at a time, but not if you like to sip a small ounce or two with each meal
