Looking around, Verbatim seems to have the reputation of having the best dual layer DVDs
-
I sent an email query to Amazon about the problem, and though I had burned four successful DVDs, and also had four ruined DVDs, Amazon immediately replied that they were shipping a new order to me at no charge, and they provided a prepaid UPS shipping label for the return of the original order (including the failures, but I could keep my successes).Ten successful burns and zero failures later, I can say this Verbatim dual-layer 2.4x-6x write speed product is reliable and excellent

Verbatim DVDs are highly regarded by these people
-
First, let me say I have used and trusted Verbatim DVDs for years and my most recent experience was not typical, of course, or I would not have ordered again.
-

I burn a couple dual layer DVDs a week and these disks are a LOT slower than the Amazon Basics that I ran out of a couple months ago
