The Verbatim DataLifePlus discs have "AZO" dye in them, which provides a more durable, robust recordable disc than cheaper media.

, I burned the first 3 discs out of the 50 and analyzed the resulting disc for errors, C1 error average was between 140 & 225 and all of them presented a very high amount of C2 errors, 2 of them presented a total of 500-600 and a third one about 1100, even the physical surface there's a visible surface defect, each disc had a small spot where the surface wasn't perfectly smooth, so just by looking at

You can tell if a disc has AZO dye by the darker bluish color of the write surface as opposed to the pale green color of cheaper discs

If you just want a serviceable daily-use-grade print surface combined with an excellent media recording surface underneath, these are excellent discs.

The cellophane wrapper was busted open and the disc were all loose in the box leaving them to slide around and get scratched.

CMC DVD recordable discs fail to burn about 50% of the time.

These discs are horrible at retaining ink, at least my Canon ink.

They do what you want for a cheap price, I burnt 10 disc with no problems them printed label's on them that looked great after fine toning my printer and seeing how they don't have a name imbedded onto the disc they look professional from my $700 hardware, computer, printer, software.

I don't think it's my drive because I haven't had any problems burning Verbatim brand DVD-R and BD-R discs.

I've only had 1 bad disc out of several thousand used, but could have been caused by my computer since I had several other windows open while printing

After about the 10th one that wouldn't burn I tossed the rest of them out.
