Just the action of loading them in & out of a typical, standard CD player will put enough surface scratching on the disc after 1-2 plays to make it skip permanently

I prefer white surface CD-R's over branded surface CD-R's because writing info on the CD looks much better and the full surface is usable.

The discs have recorded fine so far, my only complaint being that the top surface of these discs will destroy any marker that you use on it

Sharpie writing on the rougher surface CD looks like a Sharpie running out of ink and frankly looks terrible.

The one with the white surface that includes the center hub portion (this listing) has a slightly rougher surface, while the other style leaves the hub portion clear and has a smoother, semi-gloss surface.

The printable surface is of high quality as well

Timely surface, doesn't bother me if spindle holders show up cracked once in a while, very few failed discs when burning.

I use a rubber stamp instead of a printer and this works pretty well, if I stamp it on a hard surface apply the right pressure without moving
