I have used about 1/2 my 50-pack now, and no coasters yet, it seems to burn very effectively at a nice, conservative 24X-Speed in recording mode on any of my optical drives

If you burn at a slow enough speed, you will have okay results, although you will still have a few duds.

Strangely however, I have noticed people commenting about how these discs burn at slower speeds, such as 16x

I'll put up with a slower burn speed for these cool looking CD-Rs

Regardless, burning your discs at slower speeds will always yield much more accurate results, and less potential for coasters

You would have to burn a couple at different speeds to find out the optimal speed for ur system.

Writing at slower speeds helps, but will not guarantee a successful burn.

After reading recommendations here to record at slower speeds, I did record at a very slow speed and have encountered no problems on the two disks I've burned so far.

Make sure to burn these discs at a slow speed, but other than that there are no other things a buyer would be worried about.
