Makes a horrific noise when it is reading a CD

It does make some noise when it first gets going which sounded a little iffy, but everything works great!

–the kind used for furniture legs– to isolate the noise and creeping, without much success.

Initially, despite the incredibly loud noises it made when ripping CDs or playing DVDs, I thought "well, at least it works", except even that feeling was short lived

Also when you insert a cd it makes a super loud noise as if its damaging the cd.

I put a CD into this drive to burn to my computer and it made a weird 'clicking' noise and spit the CD back out

It does seem to work, but it's really slow and the noise is very loud

Don't show CD info, super slow, makes lots of awful noises.

It makes some rather annoying noises and since I bought it to watch movies, that's kind of a pain

It doesn't show up at all and it sounds like an awful churning crunchy noise

This makes a loud huming noise and was so loud it distracted me during a DVD (sounds liek a humming fan)

When ever i connect the disk drive to my mac book air the drive want eject the disk when i prompted too it makes the noise like it going

Loud crunching noises are all it does.

Had the same experience as some others above--I put in a DVD-R, and it made a bunch of awful noises and then ejected the disc

Burned a few DVD’s and everything went smoothly.
