Apparently the needle needs to have a weight on it or else it doesn't lay on the records correctly and the speakers are placed so they give feedback
-
Well today the needle fell off of the cartridge
-
The needle is cheap and crappy, the player has stopped working on numerous occasions and has required a reset to get it going ago, the arm is too light for most records, it just stops when the album is done and doesn't return the arm
-
The needle doesn't reset when the record is done playing, so you need to manually reset it so the needle doesn't get damaged
-
However I was alarmed when I read that the needle that comes with the phonograph is only good for 50 hours and that some needles have damaged purchaser’s records
-
I clean the needle every other song and it skips non stop.
-
Sound is great, needle wears down quickly, and the needle holder broke almost instantly even though I use with ultimate care.
-
It's not bad, i wish i would of knew about the newer model, plus the needle went bad on this quickly.
-
so I purchased it for the turntable and guess what, complete distortion apparently from the very cheap tonearm-needle assembly
-
Great product overall, it just came with a faulty needle that I had to replace
-
Most of the components were fine, but the needle was very defective and damaged the vinyl records!
-
He DID give me the manufacturer's number, in case they could send me a new needle, but I'm not even sure if the needle is the problem (plus now I have to call them and go through the whole explanation again).

Cheapest replacement needles are $10
