I had a crappy sound playing thru my stereo, after hooking up the preamp I ended up with just a louder crappy sound

it's not a bad looking box.you can pair it to a Bluetooth speaker or a cable that has the rca (mini) plugs, and then you can use an amplified external speaker. if you are wanting decent sound, you might want to consider doing that, it has speakers, and the music comes out, but they are not of any quality
