My under scan is in the "OFF" position, and if you move it up and increase the black frame around your screen, it feels crisper, but I don't want to minimize the screen and waste the full 24" that I have to use.

and I like the big screen.

This is a wonderful and huge screen monitor.

This screen has given me a great boost in ability to edit my photography, especially macrophotography (where fine detail is especially important), compared to the 1920x1080 matte laptop screen I was previously using on my lenovo y50-70

This may not be an issue for those who turn their machines off when they are done for the day, but I leave my machine on when printing large jobs to my Roland vinyl printer (which can take a couple hours to finish), and having the monitors on when I leave for the day while the printer prints a job is just a waste of electricicy, and more importantly, just puts more stress on the monitors sitting in a warm office while the screen saver runs pointlessly!I took one star off for that button, otherwise, its a great, precise monitor!I would have taken another star off too for the onscreen setting menu, as those buttons are also on the back and a pain to remember which of the five buttons does what function, but after a dozen other monitors in the last 2 decades of being a graphic artist, I've never found one to be much easier to use, so ViewSonic gets a pass for that.

I have been experiencing the monitor losing signal and a black screen every so often and can't figure out what setting might be causing it to that besides even trying to navigate through the settings

Colors are extremely true and screens can get very bright
