The 25 mi range gets more channel and better reception than this one

Terrible reception.

I ran a channel search and didn't get much more than my old antenna (with poor reception)

35 mile got more channels and better / more consistent reception on the channels they had in common.

Moreover all the channels had better reception

I tried doing the channel scan and did not receive a solid reception

I received better reception from a 10.00 flat plastic antenna.

Reception is the key and your house needs to be in a location where it receives good TV reception.

I think the booster helps get a good reception.

Only thing I would change is the cables are not long enough so if your tv needs to be near a window to get the best reception.
