If you're looking for minor for protection I think these will work and they do have some tread on the bottom but the sole isn't very thick (1/4") so if you are looking for something that will really save your foot from rough terrain keep looking.

So this was not a situation of rough terrains or extensive walking etc

Very little sole support, to be worn in the water - not for walking any great distance over uneven terrain.

The sole wouldn’t be good for rocky terrain though

These would be great for the pool but they don’t offer a lot of support for long walks or heavy rocky terrain.

I like to wear them around the house as well as in the pool.

No arch support as it is a beach shoe and not intended to do that.

Will probably wear arpund house as well as at beach and when camping
