The entire case is smooth, but has a slight tackiness to it, which makes it easy to hold onto

I was pleasantly surprised by this since I wanted a darker purple case, and that's how it looks on my black phone.

I love this case-- fits like a glove and is just the right thickness and texture!What is unclear from the photo is that the entire case is only one color and is somewhat transparent.

The case that came with it works well, adds a little bulk but well worth it!
