This is to allow the poition of the TV to be more centered on the stand and the weight of the TV to be toward the front (longer) portions of the feet making it more stable; therefore, DO NOT tighten any of the nuts until you have determined that the Center Support (A) is installed in the proper direction that allows the Support Pole (C) to be tilted to the rear.
