If you have the older Vizio stock remote, get this one instead; you won't feel like you're controlling your nice new Vizio smart tv with a cheap plastic-y afterthought of a remote.

If you don't have a smart phone or way to download or get the app's on the TV that you want, this will be an issue for you...as your TV will not be "smart".Not everyone has a smartphone, not everyone has the most up to date smart phone, not everyone wants to use their phone as a remote

When I recieved the remote I popped in 2 AA batteries and it worked with my Vizio Smart TV immediately... fast forward two weeks and the remote is completely dead, I changed out the batteries a couple times to make sure that, that wasn't the issue
