This was purchased as a replacement for the identical remote that came with our Vizio E-series, which failed after less than 6 months (some functions worked, some didn't, even after replacing batteries).

The replacement remote I ordered stopped working within two weeks and the buttons started falling off

Just what we needed to make the TV work again...we did find out that after buying this replacement, if you unplug the TV for about a minute and plug back in, the remote started working again, but nice to have a backup now.
