The pot is quite heavy and sturdy, way more so than our previous one and we still have to work on our adjusting to this to have the perfect heat for the oil - sometimes it seemed the temperature of the oil would decrease and therefore it took ages to cook each piece

It's a massive cast iron pot, that gains heat slowly

Worked great...heats up evenly and quickly.

Fondue pots which work with canned heat are also very useful when one has a power outage - such as are common on the gulf coast during hurricane season.

The only difficult thing was that the fuel did not come with the pot and, having not used one before, I found it confusing as to where I was supposed to get it and how it worked
