    • It makes it nicer when going from stranded to solid wires.
    • Ever try to bend and manipulate 5 twisted wires with a cap
    • Larger wire nuts take up too much space in box and are difficult to use when combining stranded and solid wire.
    • The wire failed before the connector failed
    • Yes they cost more than cheap wire nuts but well worth the few pennies additional!
    • I have found these to make a daunting task that had the risk of blowing apart your wire nut due to strain and pressure, or not being able to get your smart switching mounted in a box without serious strain, into something of ease.
    • What I really like is that it is possible to connect solid and stranded wire
