I think they will deter the casual criminal.

While you don't have the video that comes with those systems, you can fake out the criminals

My real cameras don’t have any blinking lights on them, and I suspect any savvy criminal will recognize these as being fake from a distance if the light is active

Will scare away any criminal.

The AA Duracell batteries I used are still working as of this (6-11-18) writing.

The only objection is to the blinking Red LED that does not work as on a real camera
