This Hdd is much quieter than the old one and has helped speed up my old Dell a lot

and I left him alone for music files and also have stayed there on Ubuntu, which operate normally, although I have used better quality in less modern HDD.

Sent the wrong HDD but by the time opened it to get it in the PC it was to late for a return.

WD Is always my favorite HDD going back years!, this was not only new, has SATA III (6 Gb/s Speeds) - and at 500GB this is by far the best choice for backup storage, or depending on the uses of how you use your HDD's (For me simply for backing up my GAMES, MEDIA, ETC.

This was the most suitable HDD I found for the price per gig at the time (it was in a special)

Since then I've not really trusted it, as a HDD should never just bugger off and decide it doesn't want to work any more before changing its mind
