My Seagate 500 GB overheats and shuts down the system

I installed this hard drive as a replacement for a failed Seagate hard drive in my mother's Dell Optiplex GX520 desktop computer

I must say that it has been more durable than a Seagate hard drive which lasted about 1 month

I recently replaced a failed Seagate hard drive with this hard drive.

I actually bought this as a replacement drive for customer's pc, which had a dead Seagate 7200.11 series drive as it's OS drive

Needed to replace a failing Seagate drive and found Western Digital at the right price

Used this to replace one of my "Third" failed Seagate drives

Replaced the SEAGATE hard drive on my HP m9450f after 4 years

The Western Digital has not overheated even when the application runs 8 hours straight, The Seagate seems OK for backup operations so I get use from both now.

Works as it should right out of the packaging...though my only complaint is that the item was repackaged and was not stated in the description
