I disliked that it did not boost cell reception

Once you locate the signal you need to secure the outdoor antena, run the cables from outdoor antenna to indoor unit and have it placed in the room where you want improved reception

I had much better reception when I lived in rural Minnesota.

This does improve cell reception.
