It is a slim little blade that works rather well

Nice piece, very well priced, blade is a little flexible, but that's to be expected from a letter opener and at this price it worked great

Blade is sharper than most of the wimpy ones the safety police have made us start using, but could still take a bit of touchup on a fine stone of knife sharpener.

Out-of-the-box, the blade is a bit dull in my opinion--although it will open letters.

However, if you want it to perform at 5-star level, you will need some sharpening tools to improve the blade a little

So, I used a #300 grit knife sharpening whetstone to improve the blade.

The blade is not as sharp as you think (not at first).

Works as excepted.
