this is a very good machine, it makes cold and firm ice cream...not soft serve

However, I was worried that any home ice-cream machines will only produce soft-serve icecream

After 40 minutes, I found the ice cream had reached a nice soft-serve consistency

Tried the MaxiMatic because of price, but it wasn't powerful enough for ice-bath chilled mixes, and even fully chilled mixes took longer than 45 min to reach a VERY soft soft serve

It comes out harder than soft serve and can be served right away

to produce soft-serve ice cream.
