Wii Classic Controller Pro - Black - Nintendo Wii Standard Edition

    • Beware of poor quality Nintendo knock-offs and check the seller reviews before purchasing
    • It complements the Wii Remote perfectly and allows you to play some FPS titles like Goldeneye and Call of Duty in addition to a few Nintendo classics like Zelda
    • I understand that nintendo chose this button placement on the classic controller because thats how the super nintendo controllers were, but theres a lot of gamers like myself out there who are now used to the A being at the bottom, the B to the right, y up top, and x to the left
    • While this controller is the best official Nintendo solution for playing NiGHTS, it is far from perfect
    • Nice Nintendo D-pad though.

    • You see, Nintendo has never really been famous for games that require a dual analog setup, namely shooters, and so you've almost always had one easy to reach joystick and one easy to use main button surrounded by not-so-out-of-the-way other buttons.
    • I can even ALMOST excuse Nintendo for not officially having any of the older editions of the Wii on the market
    • You plug this into a Wii remote, and it takes you back to the Super Nintendo days
    • I recommend getting the authentic Nintendo controller, not a third-party imitation

    • A friend had the old-style Nintendo Classic Controller, and although I'm not a big guy, it felt very difficult to use, almost too small for my hands.
    • Castlevania IV (WiiWare)With the excellent D-pad and buttons, this game feels even better than playing it on a Super Nintendo, which is what console the game came out on originally
    • Anyway, it isn't called the "Classic" controller for no reason, so you can't bombard Nintendo with comments on how this controller could of been better when they made it especially for virtual console games with intentions of including it for other games
    • Skip the other classic controller (Super Nintendo style) and get this.... much more comfortable for big hands.
    • "Is it a Super Nintendo controller

    • The Classic Controller Pro is essentially a Super Nintendo controller with dual analogs, grips, and two more buttons
    • However, I'm pretty sure the controls are identical to the original Super Nintendo controls, so my Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country experiences were beautiful right from the start
    • I use this WII remote to play Street fighter 2 among many other nintendo and super nintendo games I put on my Android phone
    • With this controller attached to my Wii wireless controller, I can play many of the classic Nintendo games from my past just by downloading them from the Nintendo Online store
    • This controller combines the easy grip of a Gamecube controller with the buttons of Super Nintendo
    • Specifically, Nintendo 64 games like Ocarina of Time, and Super Nintendo games
    • A genuine Nintendo controller that looks good
    • Nevertheless, this is a very ergonomically designed controller and it manages to combine the classic Nintendo feel with more modern expectations
    • Great authentic nintendo product
    • What I received wasn't even close to being an authentic Nintendo product (expand pics above for more info)
    • I think it is great that Nintendo has created this to work with the Wii.
    • but why do I need it to play a super nintendo game on the
    • The different texture to the buttons are nice and it works well for super nintendo games.

    • ** I took the Pro back to Best Buy where I got it and got a refund, then I went to Gamestop and talked to the clerk about the loose D-Pad and Sticks
    • Castlevania IV (WiiWare)With the excellent D-pad and buttons, this game feels even better than playing it on a Super Nintendo, which is what console the game came out on originally
