Waiting on my Spigen Tough Armor case to arrive to see if it still works through that, but that's more dependent on the case either way.

It charges fast without a protective case, slower with the case but still effectively

For context, I use just a simple clear TPU case, so I don't know what the results would be with more robust cases

I was also pleased that it works even with a protective case on my phone.

The case was too thick for the groove where it is supposed to sit so it would fall often, but since I dont really need that function, its not a big deal to me

Didn't work with a large bulky case, but worked with all my other thinner cases.

Uses a micro usb type b not the newer type c, but works horizontally and vertically with Droid Turbo and LG V35.
