So i tried it with a smaller phone and no case.... still no luck, i had to go back to best buy to purchase the more expensive,but much better quality version.

Even w/ the little extra care I have to take, I really love this product and it works exactly as it says it will.

Other than that, it works as it's supposed to and isn't bad at all if you don't mind having a metal plate stuck to the outside of your phone or phone case.
