I absolutely love this device
-
Not because it’s a great high quality device
-
For those of us charged with taking care of family memories, this device is a Godsend.
-
I first bought the Wolverine MovieMaker Pro, thinking, since it is $100 more than the Magnasonic FS81, it would be a better device.
-
The device is easy to use but the digitization of images is unstable and of low quality because it has a very grainy background.
-
They apparently do this as a slap on the wrist for returning their defective devices
-
Other than counter advancing every time you stop the machine, this is a great device!
-
Device worked really well with 8mm with few issues.

Works much better than the cheaper device also offered by Amazon.
-
Overall, I really like this device

Nice device
-
I recommend this device.
-
The device works well, easy to setup
-
The device is very excellent, it helped us convert movies to digital format.
-
Technical support suggested running the device with no film loaded to check the pawl
-
When scanning 8mm films the device works very well, with few difficulties pulling the film through the scanning mechanism
-
Thank you Wolverine for putting this awesome device together!
-
I set mine up in my home office so I can be doing other things while the device is working, although if you cut the splices and your sprocket holes are in good shape, I don't think it will hang up
-
Device works great, but if you have film with damaged sprocket holes, would recommend sending the out to be scanned

It compresses the video to HDV720p.mp4 files natively and the device is fairly easy to use.

Although you can "watch" the scan process (either on a monitor smaller than a 5 year old mobile or via a RCA jack to a TV), but you can't see the end product until after downloading to your computer, so it's a risk to not ensure you can re-scan the film if something goes off (see above), hence dumping in a box is not recommendedTo get a replacement, I had to pay for the return shipping out of my own pocket, although the device was defective.
-
If a splice hangs up and you pull on the film, you can damage the device and the instructions make that clear
-
The device is clever and innovative and provides a surprisingly sharp image and good color image;
-
A great device for the money
-
Device dirty from the considerable use measured by the counter.
-
The device works as advertised!I wasn't sure what to expect, but the first thing I noticed is it was designed with a lot of thought to how it would handle and process delicate film.
-
This device is difficult to say the least
-
) ) Kudos to Wolverine for inventing and manufacturing a user-friendly device!
-
This device has worked well for me so far (about a dozen 8mm reels digitized).
