Those grinding gears are more worrisome because the warranty on this machine is a joke

Warranty is only good for 200 transfers

One year warranty doesn't sound so bad, but what about the 200 reels

(1) software dates all files starting 2016 and resets on every reboot - have to manually date files; (2) take up reel that comes with unit is for regular 8, so you have to keep switching adapters if you are digitizing super 8 - bought a take-up reel with integral 8/super 8 adapter to eliminate switching; (3) warranty good for 200 rolls, but counter steps if you restart or test a few feet of a roll; also used a few counter steps as part of unit learning and familiarization.

:If it were not for the limited warranty period and jamming, I think I would have gotten through my collection with no problem.

Also, the warranty is limited to 200 films, but the counter sometimes records each stopping to adjust the film as new use, and thus inflates the real usage and accelerates the expiration of the warranty.

I have returned this product and am looking at other brands to try for the rest of the reels I have left to convert, as well as, to try re-recording the 5-in and larger reels that could not keep the frame adjustments in place.
