while no ICE it magically corrected scratches and dust, not in my experience, and if you had that feature you would advertise it on the box5) do your self a favor, get an espon 600 for 100 more

That way, I get rid of dust spots and scratches, fine-tune the color, lighting and contrast and crop the photo to my liking.

I probably could have cleaned the negatives better to clear the dust, but the image quality would have been meh at best

As other reviewers have mentioned, you have to try your best to keep the negatives and the lightbox dust free or else the dust shows up on the scan.
