A person could start out and try the uke out for very little and still have a decent sounding and playing instrument, even with the kind of crummy strings that come with it

I really think that the Woodi sopranos are a great buy with a good sound if you don't mind the thicker neck.

I've heard video reviews on YouTube of really amazing uke players getting a really good sound out of the woodi which is mostly why I bought it.
