Before buying I was a bit weary reading other reviews that describe an unbalanced sharpened point (one side sharp lead exposed, the other side still wood).

If you are an artist, this is great for soft leads and colored pencils because it gives you so much control

It Sharpened fine at first but it soon only sharpened one side then it would only "eat" the pencil and break the lead on almost every attempt.

If you mount it on a wall for use for turning the handle with your right hand, the basket dumps as you take it off

Disappointing as you really should not need to buy a pencil sharpener every few years.
