Not because it's cheaper, has a(n arguably) better controller, and has (arguably) better online play

The controller is awesome too it is big and durable

so I bought a brand new controller and it worked perfectly until the console quit working, which worked for about a year or so under pretty heavy use

but when it arrived it was only the console and cords - no hard drive or controller.

Except... well... some people think it has an inferior controller

the only problems I had was the controller that came was a little grimey but after a good cleaning it was fine, the three games that came with it were pretty scratched, but they do still work and play fine "so far"... and finally a mistake on my part, it had been so long since I bought my last
