When I called xbox to complain they simply said that this was their policy and if I wanted to transfe my warranty to the replacement unit I would have to write a letter to the warranty department

The xbox is a far superior gaming system mainly because all the games support full 1080P resolution and the graphics cards 3D rendering is much better along with a few other perks

I bought the XBox Elite as a Christmas present for myself and got a great deal through Amazon (in the end I paid less than I would for a Used Wii).

So I will truly miss this console, good bye xbox 360.
