The cover is sturdy and fairly easy to get on but after a few weeks of use dust has gotten in behind the case (especially around the area I plug in the charger)

This caused the plug to catch on the small amount of the cases hard plastic front cover that sticks down a little further than the rest of the case towards the charger opening

I was disappointed in the function of the front protective cover of this case as it highly retains fingerprint smudges and oils and it is a victim of the Newton rings phenomenon (rainbow effect) under various lighting conditions, though this effect does go and come but is more present than absent.

There is a "soft" button cover for the on/off, and volume buttons.

For those not needing a case to cover the front the phone, I imagine you could easily remove the clear cover before putting the two halves together

I really like having this button exposed because on past cases it has been covered and really difficult to access.

The earphone and lightning port covers worked pretty well, but it could be tricky to get them fully closed so they were flush with the rest of the case.

PROS:-Comes with 2 front covers (white & black) with the clear back cover.-Fits and very easy to put together and take off.--Just need to make sure when you put the back case on that you really push it onto and over the front of the case to create a seal.-Buttons have a good response to the iphone power & volume buttons

I haven't dropped my phone yet, but the cover seems durable enough to protect the phone when that day comes.

The Alixo has better protection (more of a seal) over the bottom ports than the Trentium, however there is no protection over the volume on/off button, which I find odd since all the other buttons on the side of the phone are covered well.

These covers do not make it more difficult to press the buttons

Although I would say both protect equally well, I do prefer this version for the improved dust covers for the headphone jack and power port.
