but I can buy any flagship from 2017 with 835 chip better display, name quality and reputation to back it From Google Pixel XL 2 or 2, Samsung S8 or plus drop lower one plus5T and phones that you can still buy that will beat 90% of a 2018 phones

The display doesn't look bad by any means but is pretty much the definition of good enough.

The display is easy to see even in bright sunlight.

Phone is wonderful with a brilliant screen display

The display is excellent my mom has a galaxy s8 plus and side by side even to an amoled screen, the quality is top notch

The colors aren't as rich or contrast as striking as an AMOLED display and the sharpness doesn't come close to QHD.

The Mi Mix 2 display does absolutely everything that it has to and does it fine but people accustomed to very rich colors or extremely sharp resolution might not be satisfied with the good enough display on this phone

If your phone ships with Nougat as well I highly recommend that you don't download any personal apps until after the phone updates.
