Even though I don't absolutely hate MIUI, I've got a preference for other custom variants

After using MIUI 9 for a few weeks I actually find myself pleasantly surprised--MIUI is almost shockingly fast and smooth.

Of all the skins I.e. TouchWiz from Samsung and the like MiUi is the best although I certainly prefer stock Android

Generally a good phone with one major OS flaw: MIUI 10 has a completely broken aac Bluetooth codec.

Most of the themes are very bright and colorful (MIUI was designed primarily for customers in China and India) but there are also dark themes for people like me.

If your phone ships with Nougat as well I highly recommend that you don't download any personal apps until after the phone updates.
